Painful Day for Uncle John

Hi, Family!

Uncle John is still in a lot of pain. The doctor changed his pain medication so he's less groggy.

He was encouraged to sit up in a chair for a few hours. He kept track of every minute. He wanted to get back in bed! But he had to stay in the chair to help keep his lungs clear.

He also had to take a few walks today, much to his disappointment. He said it was very painful. But this is the only way to get everything to heal.

Thank you for all the prayers. Please keep praying that he'll have a complete recovery and no complications.

I'm trying not to think about things: the pain , the incisions, the blood, etc.

Just trying to keep myself together and focus my eyes on Jesus.

Love all of you!

Update On John

Hi, Family!

We were at the hospital by 5:30 AM. Surgery started at 8:50 AM and lasted until 12:30 PM.

John's doctor said he was able to do part of the surgery laproscopically(sp???)-two small incisions.

The third incision had to be big enough to fit his hand!!! Below bellybutton.

He was out of recovery by 2 PM. He was very groggy. I stayed with John until 4:30PM. He was in pain. The doctor said that he would be sore. He can self- administer pain killer through his IV. It's timed.

Please pray that there will not be any complications since this was major surgery.

Latest On John

Hi, Everybody!

Please keep us in your prayers for this Wednesday, especially John. He will have his surgery. The date has been moved back to the original date.

A few weeks ago the doctor thought he would move John's surgery to the 14th so that he could work on another person in worse condition, but all that's changed.

Please keep us in your prayers.
