In Loving Memory...

We enter your bedroom, expecting to see you, only to realize you are in a better place with Dad. Against all the adversities you've endured throughout your life, your love for Dad and all seven of your children were infinite. You loved each and every one of us equally, and loved your grandchildren and great grandchildren just as much. Our lives will never be the same, without you. We love you, and we will miss you more than anyone can imagine.

Grandma's passing

We are all so deeply saddened by the news of grandma's passing. She was one of the two matriarchs of the family, the other being my grandma in Boston. The thoughts and prayers of the Hom family are with the Lee family. Grandma is at peace now and is together with grandpa again. May God bless you all. Also a speedy recovery for Uncle John and my mom, who recently had cataract surgery.

Update On Grandma

I've been in touch with Uncle Tommy daily. He's been with grandma in the hospital every day throughout day. He says that her breathing is shallow. He let me listen to her over the phone. He says she has been sleeping a lot.

She is getting the best care possible.

Jeanne and To will be back in L.A. tonight.

Keep the L.A. family in prayer, particularly grandma.

Update On Grandma

Hi, Family:

I just spoke to Uncle Tommy. He said that grandma's primary physician visited her today. Her white blood count is coming down. This is a good sign. The gastro doctor and her primary are discussing whether or not to replace grandma's tube.

She is still getting an IV for the pneumonia. She is resting and sleeps a lot.

I will call everyone tomorrow (Sat.)

Grandma was admitted to the hospital

Grandma was admitted to the hospital this morning. She accidentally pulled out her G-Tube. Also, an x-ray was taken and they discovered she has pneumonia. The doctor put her on antibiotics.

Call Uncle Tom or Auntie Mee-Li for an updated status of her condition.

Painful Day for Uncle John

Hi, Family!

Uncle John is still in a lot of pain. The doctor changed his pain medication so he's less groggy.

He was encouraged to sit up in a chair for a few hours. He kept track of every minute. He wanted to get back in bed! But he had to stay in the chair to help keep his lungs clear.

He also had to take a few walks today, much to his disappointment. He said it was very painful. But this is the only way to get everything to heal.

Thank you for all the prayers. Please keep praying that he'll have a complete recovery and no complications.

I'm trying not to think about things: the pain , the incisions, the blood, etc.

Just trying to keep myself together and focus my eyes on Jesus.

Love all of you!

Update On John

Hi, Family!

We were at the hospital by 5:30 AM. Surgery started at 8:50 AM and lasted until 12:30 PM.

John's doctor said he was able to do part of the surgery laproscopically(sp???)-two small incisions.

The third incision had to be big enough to fit his hand!!! Below bellybutton.

He was out of recovery by 2 PM. He was very groggy. I stayed with John until 4:30PM. He was in pain. The doctor said that he would be sore. He can self- administer pain killer through his IV. It's timed.

Please pray that there will not be any complications since this was major surgery.

Latest On John

Hi, Everybody!

Please keep us in your prayers for this Wednesday, especially John. He will have his surgery. The date has been moved back to the original date.

A few weeks ago the doctor thought he would move John's surgery to the 14th so that he could work on another person in worse condition, but all that's changed.

Please keep us in your prayers.

Know thy family...

Unbelievable!!! I am shocked at the poll results. Only four votes, and those that voted were all wrong. Grandma has ten (10) grandchildren, Edmund, Hanson, Julina, Judy, Rockson, Rany, Christina, Hsiao Yen, Mei-An and Veronique and four (4) great grandchildren, Aurora, Audrey, Sabrina and Evelyn. The answer was 10-4, which was NOT one of the choices.

Also, I've been monitoring how many of you visit our blog. In the last week, there have been five visitors, and all five was ME. We would love to hear from you all.

Lastly, the Google ads on the blog are there for you to click. I need the income.

Mei-An's Head Shot

Hi everyone,
Happy belated birthday to Veronique. I hope you had a good one.
Here is a picture of Mei-An. This is her head shot she uses when she goes on auditions.
Hollywood hasn't called yet, but GAP Fit Kids did. She didn't get the job because her body measurements were not exactly what Gap required.

Grandma is home...

Grandma was discharged from the hospital this morning. Her condition is much better. The normal hemoglobin level for a woman is 12. Grandma's was 7 when admitted to the hospital. They said her condition was not affected because of her strong vital signs. Now, her level is back up to 10, which is acceptable. It is nice to have he home.

Grandma will be 92 this year.

Happy Birthday Veronique!!!

You are the bestest daughter anyone can have. Wish we could spend your birthday with you.

My Advice to You Youngins

I can't believe it, the BIG _0 !!!! I still feel like 35.

Time goes so fast.

You youngsters out there. Make every minute count. It zips by.

Life is great. There are a lot of ups and downs, but trust God.

The very best advice I can give you is don't waste another year, OR another month, OR another day, OR another hour, Or another minute, OR another second without a relationship with God. He wants very badly to have a relationship with you. Yes, you! He's been wooing you. Trying to catch your attention in every way possible: that sunset, the tragedy, the new job, the birth of a child, the starry sky, the majestic mountains, unemployment, the accident you survived, the accident that never happened, falling in love, falling out of love...

Now, you're probably asking how do I have a relationship with God??? He really wants to know me? Me??

Yes, you. He loves you! And has loved you so much and thinks of you so much that He sent His Son to die on the cross for you.

All you need to do is acknowledge what God has done for you. You may want to say this prayer:

Dear God, I am I sinner. I thank you for sending your Son, Jesus to die in my place on the cross so that I can be set free from my sins and have a relationship with You. Forgive me. I receive You into my heart.

That's all there is to it. You're now a child of God with a new nature. Read the Bible and learn about your new life and about the character of God. The Bible is like a love letter written to you from God. Find a church where you can be with others who can help you with your new life.

This is just the beginning of a very exciting journey that you'll never regret.

Grandma is OK...

Grandma was admitted to the hospital Saturday afternoon. We were very nervous about her condition Friday night, but after receiving two units of blood and some medication, the doctor's prognosis on Sunday morning calmed our fears. (We are in and out of the hospital, so call Auntie Mee-Li for details on her ailment.) She is receiving the best of care at the hospital. They will be performing another lab test on Monday, to determine when she will be discharged from the hospital. Meanwhile, please pray for Grandma's speedy recovery.

The picture to the right...

Yes, that is a picture of me with "The Great One", Wayne Gretzky. The picture was shot while filming a commercial. It is always exciting when I meet a sports figure at work. I did get him to sign a Rangers cap. I was able to sell the cap on ebay for $7,500.00!!!

We had a great birthday dinner with Uncle Tom. We had barbeque chicken, babyback ribs, huge 16oz baked potatoes, and a large deep dish pizza that weighed at least eight pounds. We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza, but they brought out one of their special pizzas. They made up for their mistake by giving us a second pizza to take home. We celebrated more at home with a tiramisu cake. The five candles do not represent age, it is for effect only.

This is how we celebrate birthdays with family members. So make sure you visit us on your birthday.

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to Auntie Mee-Li and Uncle Tom. Born two years apart on the same day of the year, March 26. The next poll is to guess how old they are, unless they would like to volunteer posting their age for us.

儒家 found in the 論語
Confucius said, "When you reach this age, you often forget how old you are."

Happy Resurrection Day

Happy Resurrection Day !!!

This the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. God loves us so much that He gave His Son to die in our place so that we can have new lives. We can be set free !

We will be celebrating by going to church this morning, and then coming home to celebrate with a ham dinner.

Veronique and a co-worker will be joining us.

Pray for John. He's in the hospital. He's been there since Fri. night.
We're hoping he'll be home today.

Where in China, is our family from?

If you said Chinatown, New York City, you are wrong!

Toisan

You may see it spelled Taishan, depending on the dialect. Auntie Nancy informed us that our village is located near "Sanho Hot Springs", just South of Taishan City. My good friend John Lee, aka, John Moy, and his lovely wife Ella, visited Toisan a few years ago. They told us his family home was like a time capsule. Maybe he can share some of his pictures with us.

Hi famiLEE!!!

I'm just testing this out. I've never Ariana Huffington-ed before.

For those of you that don't know, I've tried showing off my true genes that I've inherited from my father and have taken up photography the last few years. Some of you have already seen this, but for those of you that haven't, check out some of my photographs that I've been acquiring over the last 5 years.
