I wish I could get mom something to eat or take her out to a restaurant like we did when she lived with us Up-Sate New York. I wish I could turn back the clock to those days when we took her to Ivan's on the Green. She loved the brunches(all you can eat) and then going to church with us.

She was always the out going one and loved giving parties and cooking for the family. She enjoyed good food and going out to eat.

I use to just sit back and take in the view, the lush golf course and the rolling green hills outside Ivan's huge windows. Sometimes we'd arrive before the crowds. Just the wait staff and us. Treating us like royalty. Only the clinking of forks on our plates punctuating the silence. Our Mother's Day with mom at Ivan's provided us with a rhythm and security I will always appreciate and remember.

Make sure you honor your mom or grandmother with lasting memories this Mother's Day.

This Mother's Day, I hope to see mom via my web-cam and send her a Mother's Day card.
